So I Had To Laugh…

Ok, so y’all know I have mad love for law enforcement officers (LEO’s)…Most of them, anyway.

There are always exceptions to the rule, and I was actually unfortunate enough to run into those exceptions at the beginning of the new year. Now I’m not talking about the guy that pulled me over for doing 90 in a 70. He was actually REALLY nice.

Sometimes it’s just TOTALLY worth the laugh.

Now, because I had a couple of run ins with the local (i.e. employed by my day job) LEO’s, I can’t help but share. It’s all good. I don’t hold a grudge. I just don’t kiss the bums of the parties that lied about me. It’s that simple. (And for the record? It has NOTHING to do with that little ol’ parking ticket y’all were kind enough to give me then laugh about…It was more about the fact that you made my admin cry, but that’s ok. Our boss may not have seen you when I followed up, but God did, and more than likely your silly ol’ cameras saw you, too, but it’s just not worth the effort. Karma’s a bitch and more often than not? She’s rabid, too.)

That said, the party that did that to me? I’m not crying in my soup about it, or the loss of the *ahem* “friendship.” Quite frankly? I’m actually celebrating the lack of drama. HOWEVER…My buddy, my pal (aka my work husband) stopped speaking to me over the whole situation, and really? It’s like that, is it? That’s ok…cuz I rocked “work single,” too.

So for the last three months, I have not spoken to this individual, except to perhaps nod a greeting.

Until yesterday. *snicker.*

Oh, dude that shall remain nameless? I really hope that you are reading this, because I used to have mad love for you and I would have done just about anything to help you out. And I honestly miss you, but that said? I still have to laugh at the look on your face yesterday when I told you about that plate…

So I got back from the bank about mid-day and noticed that the new, unmarked squad car finally had a license plate on it. However (comma), it was upside down, and I laughed, because I thought the our LEOs had done this on purpose.

So when my former buddy/pal/etc. came in to ask about the fleet fuel card that I had already ordered, (and my admin could tell it was killing him to actually speak to me, and we both chuckled  rolled laughing about it afterward), I told him I’d ordered it and would follow-up, and by the way…”y’all put the plate on the new squad car upside down for a reason?”

I have NEVER seen anyone in uniform fezz up that fast before. 😉  I explained that when I got back from a run to the bank the hour prior that I saw that the plate was upside down. He was ready to press charges, and said so. I sure hope the maintenance guys are not on camera flipping that plate. 😉

I did mention, however, that had I thought of it first, I would have done it, myself. 😉

Sorry. I gotta get my laughs when and where I can. 😉

Till next time….
