My girl Janey over at Cupid or Cats has nominated Random Musings, aka Musings From a Workaholic, for the Versatile Blogger Award. (Thank you, Sweetheart! I am tickled! β₯)
So what happens next is that I post seven (7) facts about myself, and then I nominate thirteen (13) other bloggers. You thirteen are under no obligation to participate, but that you were nominated means that I think you and your blogs are pretty terrific, and that yes, someone IS reading and following. /waves frantically from way back here/
Okay…in no particular order, just the facts, ma’am:
- Up until about a month ago there were two things I refused to eat; eggplant & walnuts. I’ve decided that I like eggplant, but that whole walnut thing will never change. I’ve tried. It’s just not meant to be. So this can be summarized as, “the only food I refuse to eat is walnuts.”
- I was born on the west coast, currently live on the east coast, have lived in two other states (intoxication does NOT count, thanks) in between. I have also traveled all of Interstate 40 at one time or another, from one coast (Barstow, CA) to the other (Wilmington, NC).
- I can play the violin, viola, cello, and guitar. I took violin lessons starting at the age of 7, played all through school, and can still, to this day, play large chunks of Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 3, (Allegro) by heart.
- I love to bake. I don’t get to do it often, but I really enjoy it, and miss the days when I was a stay at home mom and could put out some lovely pies, breads and a pretty outstanding pound cake.
- If I am ever reincarnated, I would like to come back as one of my dogs.
- I hope to retire in Belize.
- When I grow up I want to be a certified personal trainer and published author.
*Whew!* Glad that part is over.
Now for the fun part – thirteen bloggers and their links…And Janey, you are in here, too! These are in no particular order, either. As you can see, my taste in blogs is as varied as my taste in food. (Does anyone else see a lot of food parallels in here today, or is it just me?)

OH MY GOSH! I thought I was the only one that still remembered the Brandenburg from school! lol I played violin all through school too, but haven’t in almost 30 years now. π
Mine is still in the closet. I’ve had it since my dad bought it when I was all of maybe 9 years old. It’s got that great “old” sound to it now…It’d be great if I could play as well as I did in school, LOL…
You and me both! lol I think if I tried to play mine right now I’d scare everybody! Including myself! lol
Thank you, Julie! I’m humbled that you’ve selected my blog, and very appreciative! I love your blog and look forward to your posts (especially the ones about your neighbors). π
You are sooooo welcome, Rob…And I want to say that I almost MISS the neighbors, but not quite….LOL….
Very nice post and Congratulations on your award! You are definitely versatile! Smiles, Robin
Thank you, Robin! So are you…versatile, that is. Loving your blog! In fact, I just came from there. π
