Two posts in a day? How can this even be?

It doesn’t matter. I’m tickled, though, because my favorite Irish-person (Hi, Janey!!!), over at Cupid or Cats, has nominated me for one thumb shy of an entire handful of awards. 😀 These always make me so doggone happy. That said? If you’re reading this and haven’t read or subscribed to Janey’s blog? Go check her out. I promise you won’t be sorry!

Blogging: I do it when I’m happy, sad, pissed, feeling informative, or simply just because. I have always been able to communicate more effectively through writing. Even when I was a kid, I would journal like a maniac. I have three full volumes of daily entries stashed in my house from those years. I probably need to find them and leave them with someone safe, just in case I get mowed down by a bus or something. Some things are simply not for public consumption. Just sayin’… With the technology age came the ability to type faster than I can write, yet not quite as quickly as I can think, but it sure has made it easier, that’s for sure.

So, in no particular order, these are the awards that we are talking about (and honestly? I have to laugh, because I am so far from inner peace, except, maybe, for tonight, because I had some terrific eggplant for dinner and am kind of in my own personal Zen place), so read on:

The first is the Inner Peace Award (which just tickles me, because apparently I’m giving the impression I’m not a hyper, bouncing-off-the-wall weirdo):

I am fairly certain that when I share this with the hubs and some of my friends, they will all be laughing at me, not with me, ha ha. 😉

The second is the Awesome Blog Content Award:

I appreciate this, simply because my content is so ridiculously varied that sometimes I can’t even keep track. Welcome to the inner workings of my mind, what’s left of it. 😀

I don’t know how influential my posts actually are, but even one person affected in a positive way? Then I’m happy. 😉

So this is the part where I’m supposed to describe myself using all the letters in the alphabet. Please, try to stay awake, but if you can’t? I won’t take it personally (nor will I know, ha ha).

A – Animated. I’m half Sicilian, and I have the whole “talking with my hands” thing down to a fine art.

B – Beautiful. On the inside, almost all the time. (A kind heart gets you further than a pretty face.) On the outside when I actually HAVE a good hair day.

C – Comedienne. I sometimes think that I should have done stand-up for a living, but I also think I would have had to get over that whole public-speaking-makes-my-my-face-really-red-thing first.

D – Dramatic. I didn’t get my Academy Award and the title of “Drama Queen” at the office for nothing.

E – Eloquent. (Wait till you read some of my fiction…you’ll see…)

F – Fun. ‘Nuff said.

G – Generous. If I have it? I’ll give it to  you if I can spare it, and sometimes even if I can’t.

H – Hysterical. This is a double edged sword in that I can be hysterically happy or hysterically upset. I don’t do average.

I – Introspective. I look inward more than outward in a lot of ways. It doesn’t mean I’m self-centered. It just means I’m aware of how I may come across.

J – Jackass. Hey. We all go there sometimes. At least I’m freaking honest, right?

K – Kind. Most days.

L – Loving. No brainer. Right? RIGHT? 😉

M – Moody. Self-explanatory.

N – Nasty. Like really ugly when provoked. As in mean and nasty. See Sicilian temper. 😉

O – Optimistic. Most days. Silver linings and all that crap. 😉

P – Personable. Jeebus, I love just about everyone and make friends easily…I should moonlight as a waitress. I bet the tips would rock.

Q – Queen Bitch. Nuff Said. 😉

R – Resilient. I’ve bounced back from some shit, that’s for sure.

S – Sexy. Or not. It’s subjective. It’s cool.

T – Tenacious. My husband can vouch for this…only when he says it, it doesn’t sound like a compliment, ha ha.

U – Understanding. Ask the girls at work. 😉

V – Volunteer. I seem to do this more than I should, but that’s still not a bad thing.

W – Witty. Sometimes. Okay, most times, but often mistaken for sarcasm.

X – Are you freaking kidding me? This is a family show. (There’s your answer, muwahahahaha.)

Y – Young-at-Heart. I refuse to grow up.

Z – Zealous. I have always wanted to use that word somewhere…but hey…It fits in many situations. 😉

So yeah…that was the hard part…and now I am giving you a list of bloggers I find simply amazing. They are thought provoking, fun to read, personable (kind of like, oh, I dunno, yours truly, LOL), and I hope that you’ll check them out.
