Professionally? There Are Changes…

So when I last blogged about my hospital life, it was on February 2 of this year.

Since then, my new full-time department went through some growing pains and changes.

My team chilling and eating!

We, as a department, have come together as a family under the Patient Care umbrella. That actually makes us more crucial than we were under the “Facilities” umbrella.

That being said? We are moving forward with a sense of pride that I don’t think this group of awesome team players has experienced in a very long while.

These amazing folks reduced me to tears on my birthday at the end of June when I walked into the office to find pizza, chicken, balloons and a cake. But what took me out was my new family singing the birthday song to me!

They like me! They really like me!

I don’t think I have ever felt so appreciated than I did on that day a month ago!

Since then? I’ve accompanied my team on various transports that have literally moved me to tears! I have met so many amazing patients and family members that have made me soooo thankful that I am no longer confined to a desk.

For any of you that work at a hospital, or have family members in a hospital? Those kind folks that take you or your loved one to a diagnostic area and/or back? Please know that your transport team are just as invested in you as your medical staff are in your well-being and health!

Until next time!!!
