About

So I am just this type-A wife that holds a full time job and freelances in both writing and photography, so….obviously, I am one of those creative types…I am a photographer, writer, crocheter, wife, mom, sister, daughter, friend, and owned by a small pack of dogs.

Sadly, I am also opinionated, not shy about it, and have a ridiculously low threshold for injustice, unfairness, and idiots.

This blog is basically my safe place to blow off steam. You’ll find my observations; things that are funny, situations that tickle me,  scenarios that piss me off, things I’ve witnessed that are a little perplexing (did you read the one about the two pervy guys in the parking lot?), and tidbits that I can’t put on my “professional” blog, because I have no filter in my real life. 😉

While I hope that this will primarily entertain you, I also hope that something you read will make you stop and think and motivate you to do something, anything to make a change, do something kind for yourself (I do not recommend henna for dying your hair red unless you absolutely know what you’re doing), or just laugh.

Muchos gracias for stopping by. I hope you stick around. 🙂

Hi there! I nominated you for a Creative Blogger Award because who doesn’t like awards, right? (Sorry, Leonardo di Caprio…)
You don’t have to accept but you might like to check out my post:

    Have a great day 🙂

Where are you, Jules! Squirreling Dervish has you up for an award. 🙂

    • I’ve been in and out of the dentist’s chair over the last two weeks and hammered at work, and not really getting a lot of sleep.

I’m taking a hiatus from awards for the summer, because I just don’t have time to do a regular blog let alone awards blogs. I probably wouldn’t have even seen this had my phone not gone off.

No worries. I just told Squirrell that I was going to harass you, so I did. Sorry to hear about the dentist. I share the same sentiments about dentist visits as you do. Hopefully work will slow up a bit, and you’ll get some rest.

        Take care, sis!

    Hi there,

I nominated you for one of those award things because I’m nice like that.
Yes, this is a generic message but when you visit my post and see how long it is, you won’t judge me.

So why don’t you hop on over and view the post. Being beer, or cake.

  6. I found you via a trail of breadcrumbs laid by Mother Hen – and I’m glad I did. Great blog! Love the musings and opinions, interspersed with flashes of humour (and you have totally got those vines trained. You are like the Vine Whisperer!)

I like that you admitted to being a Type-A personality. My husband recently bought me an iPhone cover that had “Type-A” embossed on it. I (very ungratefully) pulled a face and said I hated it. “That’s not me at all!” I moaned. Within a week, I’d bought myself a new phone cover to replace it. I now suspect that the fact I had to control the type of phone cover I used might suggest that the Type-A cover was the right one for me.

    Looking forward to more posts.
