Those of you that know me know that I am a very avid fundraiser.
Both of my dear parents are cancer survivors, and three of my friends are, as well.
Most people have been affected by this disease in one way or another.
My day job encourages us to be a part of their Relay for Life team, and over the past two years, I have been so slammed at the day job that I have been unable to participate like I normally do, but this year is different. I have jumped right in with both feet and have decided to host a silent arts and crafts auction.
The first year that I did this we raised about two thousand dollars to be donated to the American Cancer Society, and I would absolutely love to knock that amount out of the ball park again.
I, personally, will be donating matted art photography prints by me. I have also gotten pledges from Sandra Carrington-Smith, author; Shannon & Sherrill, jewelry designers; my assistant, Tricia, photographs; and Brenda, my custom handbag designer.
I am sending out a request, world-wide, for donations of anything artsy that you have created so that we can auction it off at our event on Friday, April 13, 2012. These donations are tax deductible, and I hope to hear from many of you.
Should you need further information or you have questions, please email me at julie@wall2wallphotos.com.
Thanks for listening, and until next time…
Hey…March 1st?? how the HELL did you hit a time warp in Goldsboro??
Cuz we’re special like that, honey. 🙂 Glad you are in. Can you hook a sister up with some banging earrings like you made me for my birthday and maybe a pair of those cool hoops you wore at the USO pancake breakfast? Better make that two, because I will bid on and win one of them. 🙂
